Issuing a Virtual Card to an Employee

There are two ways to issue a virtual card to an employee in Corpay Complete. 

• Issuing a virtual card to a PO requestor
• Issuing a virtual card to an employee without an approved purchase order

Issuing a virtual card to a PO requestor

The first way is to issue a virtual card to a PO requestor. To issue a virtual card this way, the employee must have requested a purchase order, and that PO must be fully approved. Once these two criteria have been met, you can issue cards from the PO.

1. Log in to Corpay Complete.
2. Navigate to the Cards section of the Corpay Complete platform using the main navigation on the left of your screen.

3. On the Cards page, navigate to the POs Requiring Cards section using the tabs at the top of the screen.

4. This will bring you to a grid with all purchase orders eligible for virtual card issuance. 

5. To issue a card directly from the grid level, click on the card () icon.

6. This will open a modal window that allows you to set velocity controls for that new virtual card.

Note: If you wish to review more details about the PO before issuing the virtual card, (1) you can view the PO details by clicking on either the PO number in the grid as shown below. Alternatively, (2) you can open the view () icon located in the far right of the row.

Both options lead to the PO detail page displayed below. At the top-right of the PO detail page, you can click on the Issue Card button to access the same modal with the velocity controls.

Issuing a virtual card to an employee without an approved purchase order

The second way to issue a virtual card to an employee doesn't require an approved purchase order. To issue a virtual card this way,

1. Navigate to the All Cards tab in the Cards page.

2. Next, click on the + Add button above the grid.

Note: This action will open the same modal window you see issuing against a PO. However, none of the fields will be pre-filled for you.

3. Complete the issuance info and velocity controls, then click Create and Send Card.

Note: In any of the methods you use to issue a virtual card to an employee, a notification will be sent to the cardholder, prompting them to login to Corpay Complete to access their new virtual card.
